Those of you who follow me on social media may have seen that my best friend, my baby, my Buster, passed away unexpectedly last Tuesday at only 10 years old.

First, I want to say thank you to everyone for your kind words about Buster’s passing. It’s all still very raw, and I don’t feel right promoting a new release during such a horrific time in our lives.

You may know that the character Specs in You Invited It In & You Need to Leave is based on Buster, and so this series now holds an even more special place in my heart. Buster lives on in Specs.

Prior to Buster’s passing – before we even knew he was ill – I’d decided to donate 20% of YNTL pre-order profits to Helping Yorkshire’s Poundies. However, since his death, it only feels right to me to do something more. Therefore, 50% of May profits across ALL my books will be donated to this incredible charity, in Buster’s memory. We’re also sponsoring a kennel there in his name. This means that Buster’s legacy will live on in the dogs he helps to save from death row.

Release week for You Need to Leave didn’t look like we expected it to. There was a furiously wagging tail and some wet, slobbery kisses missing. I’m obviously distraught, but I’m trying to make something positive come from Buster’s passing.

If you’re not a horror lover, but want to support HYPS (who do incredible work saving death row dogs), you can donate here: https://helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.uk/. While we didn’t get Buster from this kennel in particular, he is a rescue dog and rescue holds a huge place in our hearts. HYPS is leading the charge and doing the most amazing things for homeless dogs, who are otherwise at risk of being put to sleep.

You can find my books pretty much anywhere online. No matter where you buy from, 50% of this month’s profits will go to HYPS.

Here’s the link to my new release, YOU NEED TO LEAVE: https://mybook.to/youneedtoleave

It’s the sequel to You Invited It In – both are supernatural, demonic horror novels. If that’s your kind of thing, please check them out.

You’ll have to forgive me for re-using release day graphics. My brain is barely working at the moment.

Hold your fur babies close. ❤
